About Dean

Whether you are buying or selling your home or land, Dean has the knowledge and tools to provide the best representation for his clients.  Having lived in the greater Athens area for fourteen years, Dean has seen the area grow and understands the direction each local community is headed for it’s future.  With his degree in Land Planning from The University of Georgia, Dean is able to educate his clients not only on a small parcel of land in which a home is built but also the larger picture of what is happening around one’s property. 

When representing a seller, Dean provides a thorough analysis of comparable properties which will help in determining a price to market the property.  Dean provides the most extensive marketing in the area by marketing each property on 25 websites.  Over 90% of buyers first view properties online before viewing homes in person. Dean is a member of the Georgia Multiple Listing Service which markets properties over the entire state of Georgia.  This provides many more prospective buyers to view his properties that he is selling.  Dean will also provide you with feedback from the customers that he shows your property too, as well as the feedback from other agents who show your property.  He will provide the positive and negative feedback which will help his clients make the proper adjustments if needed to sell their property. 

When representing a buyer, Dean provides an analysis to educate him/her on what comparable properties in the area have sold for in the last two years.  Dean prides his work by the referrals that he receives from past clients and friends. 

Remember when I represent you as a buyer it does not cost you if the property is publicly listed on the Multiple Listing Service.  The seller will pay the commission.  If a property is listed by an owner(FSBO) and you as the buyer want help in negotiating the contract, inspections, and protecting your interests in the purchase of the property, I will ask the owner to pay my commission.  If the owner chooses not to pay a commission, then you as the buyer need to make a decision if you want to pay my commission.  You will not receive pressure from me.  I enjoy helping those "who want the help and guidance."

Dean has been married to his wife of twelve years, Charissa, and has two sons, Spencer and Davis.  Dean loves the outdoors with hunting, fishing, and golf.
